Seliștat

1 Farmers Connected

Seliștat was first mentioned in documents in 1206; this village is considered to be part of the first settlement areas of the Saxons in Transylvania. At its beginnings, the village bore the Latin name "Felix locus", which can be translated as "happy place". The (cultural) history of the place can be relived today in the Erich Lukas Museum, which is located in the middle of the village. Like Bărcut, Seliștat has a youth meeting centre, which hosts both groups and individual tourists.
