A Gothic basilica with west tower was built in the 14th century. It had lancet arch arcades on all four sides, which opened onto the aisles and which were demolished at a later time. At the end of 15th century the arcades of the bell tower were bricked up and the tower got a 12m-high encasement. There is a triple-stepped lancet arch portal in the south wall of the present-day hall. It is flanked by two pinnacles whose lateral jambs were destroyed in the course of the time. At the end of the 18th century the choir was removed and the hall was extended to the east and wooden galleries on wooden columns were built in the north and west. A loopholed and box machicolated, 6-7m-high enclosing wall was built in the 15th century. It has been preserved west, south and east of the church.
